Hills Are Alive
The hills are alive with the sound of locals relaxing in a leafy beer garden with not a worry in the world. It’s an escape from the city to times gone by when jugs of beer were less than a pint.
Wet your whistle at the oldest pub in Western Australia the Rose and Crown built in 1841 and then make your way up the hill to Mount Helena.
Enjoy a snack and a drink in bars steeped with bushranger and pioneer history of olden days. Some of the pubs we visit are over hundred years old but never fear, they don’t smell like it!
The summer months can see several of these bars playing live music on a Sunday, which goes hand in hand with good company.
If you like history or just feel like escaping the city for a day then this is the tour for you.
